FC:AI relaunched a few weeks ago. That felt like coming home — rebuilding the site, getting the tools live, going back to writing honestly about cancer and what it's like managing it with AI. That's been going well. People are using the tools. The blog's getting read. Good.

But I've also been building something else. And today it's live.

What Is Known & Cited?

Known & Cited is an AI brand intelligence service. We measure how brands appear in AI-generated answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode.

That probably needs unpacking.

When you Google something about, say, project management software, you'll find the usual suspects. Ads, organic results, maybe some reviews. You know the drill. But increasingly, people aren't Googling. They're asking AI. And when you ask ChatGPT "what's the best project management tool for a small agency?", it gives you an answer. It names brands. It recommends things. It has opinions.

The question is: does it mention you?

For most brands, the answer is no. And almost nobody's checking.

That's what Known & Cited does. We check. We measure it. We score it. And then we make educated recommendations about what to do about it — and we keep measuring to see if it's working.

AI Visibility Strategy

Our flagship product is the AI Visibility Strategy (AVS). It's a scored AI brand audit. We run your brand through structured questions across multiple LLMs, map the responses against 12 citation pillars, and produce a report that tells you exactly where you stand.

The scoring is simple: Ghost (AI doesn't mention you at all), Whisper (AI barely knows you), Emerging (AI mentions you sometimes), Cited (AI actively recommends you), or Known & Cited (you own the conversation).

Want to see what an AVS report actually looks like? View our sample reports — three fictional businesses, three real audits.

Is this a solved science? No. Nobody fully understands how LLMs decide what to cite. But we can measure where you stand, make informed assessments about what to improve, track whether it's working, and repeat the process based on what we see. That's a better model than not knowing at all.

What Else We Do

The AVS is the starting point, but it's not the only thing. We also offer:

AI Discovery — a lighter-touch session where we walk you through what AI is saying about your business right now, live. No report, no score — just a conversation. Good for people who aren't sure whether this matters to them yet.

AI Consultancy — for businesses that want help understanding how AI affects their operations, not just their visibility. We assess where AI fits, what it could automate, and what it probably shouldn't touch.

GEO Advisory — strategic guidance on improving your presence in AI-generated answers, informed by what the AVS reveals.

Copywriting — because none of this works if the content itself isn't good. Our in-house copywriter, Katy, handles everything from website copy to content briefs.

Why Now?

Because AI search is already here and most businesses haven't noticed. Google AI Overviews are live. ChatGPT has hundreds of millions of users. Perplexity is growing fast. The question isn't whether AI will change how people find businesses — it already has. The question is whether your business is part of the conversation.

We built Known & Cited because nobody was measuring this properly. There are SEO tools everywhere. There are social listening platforms. There are brand tracking services. But almost nothing that measures how AI platforms specifically talk about your brand. That's the gap.

What's Next

We're taking on clients now. The AVS Flash is free — it's a quick snapshot of where you stand. If you want the full picture, the AVS Annual, Bi-Annual, and Quarterly tiers go deeper with structured scoring, competitor analysis, citation source mapping, and a roadmap.

Focus. Measure. Plan. Deliver. Repeat.

That's the model. Let's go.
